Your area of responsibility
- Maintaining and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with HGB, tax law and our accounting policies
- Help with yearly VAT return reconciliation and tax requirements
- Prepare weekly cash flow reports
- Oversee and prepare month end closings, including fixed assets management
- Monitor and assist with audits and prepare financial statements at year end
- Help with the daily tasks such as payments and special customer/vendor requests
- Assist with (governmental) statistical reports
That distinguishes you
- Bachelor‘s degree in accounting or finance, with a focus on tax law is preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an international company
- Working knowledge of HGB and tax law, IFRS would be an advantage
- Month end closings and sub-ledger experience is a must
- Experience in the consumer goods business/e-commerce is preferable
- Ability to deal with challenging tasks/situations independently
- Analytical mindset and ability to interpret financial data
- Independent work ethic, high accuracy, and reliability
- Takes action beyond formal job responsibilities
- Good command of spoken and written English and German
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, NetSuite or Sage expertise a plus
